2. Application Process for Public Colleges of Education
If you're interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Degree at one
of Ghana's 46 Public Colleges of Education for the 2021/2022 academic year,
follow these steps:
Admission Requirements:
WASSCE/SSSCE Qualification Applicants: Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six
subjects, including Core subjects like English Language and Mathematics, and
relevant Elective subjects.
GCE Advanced Level Applicants: Passes in three subjects, including at least one Grade D or better. Additionally, credit passes in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English and Mathematics (for non-science students) or Science subject (for science students) and an Arts subject.
ABCE Applicants: Passes in three subjects with at least one Grade D or
better, and credit passes in five subjects including English, Mathematics, and
Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate
Examination (GBCE).
Technical and Vocational Education and Training Applicants: Possession of
relevant trade area certificates from authorized awarding bodies or National
Certificate II qualification in Competency-Based Training (CBT).
Foreign Qualifications: Should be evaluated by the Ghana Tertiary Education
Commission (GTEC).

- Make a payment of GHC280.00 into the Colleges of Education-Ghana Account.
- Receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN), an Admission Application Serial Number, and the Admission Website Address.
- Visit admission.coeportal.edu.gh, follow guidelines to fill the online form.
- Print the completed form and send it with a passport photograph, results slip(s), and a copy of your results to the principal of your first-choice college.
